Riccardo Tisci at Dior?

after the Galliano melt-down (if you live under a rock, you can read about it here) the fashion world and fashionistas were abuzz about what would happen at Dior... who would replace John Galliano? who would replace whoever was replacing John Galliano? (Scott Schuman aka the Sartorialist speculated the fashion world musical chairs on his blog last week) but reports today out of Paris are linking Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci to take over at Dior.

for those of you who aren't familiar with Tisci he is an Italian fashion designer who has been the creative director at Givenchy for the past 6 years. he's probably best known for designing the costumes for Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour in 2008 as well as being responsible for Ciara's good fashion sense as of late.

However, the Dior plot thickens...

Style.com tweeted yesterday that the Lanvin staff was "in tears" - forcing people to ask, could Alber Elbaz be replacing Galliano?

Both rumors are unconfirmed and the world is waiting on breath that is baited for an announcement out of Dior.

In the meantime, here's some of my fave Tisci at Givenchy looks;
